The Once Upon a Night pediatric sleep laboratory is run by psychologist, Dr. Marie-Hélène Pennestri. Our team investigates the development of the sleep-wake cycle in healthy infants and preschoolers from a developmental and family perspective. We also seek to investigate associations between sleep and mental health in different contexts, such as during the transition into parenthood and in vulnerable populations. Key concepts in our work include different family values, perceptions, expectations, cultural differences and diverse family configurations. The lab is affiliated both with McGill University and Hôpital en santé mentale Rivière-des-Prairies (CIUSSS du Nord-de-l’Île-de-Montréal).
